Sustainability

We use only certified organic cotton, grown using sustainable farming practices that maintain and replenish soil fertility without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers. It is free of toxins used in conventional cotton processing that can later transfer to your skin, the air, soil and water completing a full cycle of pollution. Its organic methods help maintain the health and well being of farm and factory workers by creating a chemical free environment.

Cotton is not grown in Canada and to reduce our footprint we chose to make the entire garment in India and help families that have been in this industry for over 5000 years.

Every garment that enters our country is sealed in a plastic bag. It takes up to 400 years for a single bag to decompose. To reduce waste, we ship from oveseas in bulk, half a dozen tees in one bag. By avoiding extra packaging, you save both energy and landfill space. Our hang- tags are made from recycled paper.

Pure Blankz is mindful of the impact shipping has on the environment. Reusing packaging material saves more energy than recycling. We use the smallest amount of packaging possible to deliver items safely. We use reused boxes, from local businesses, which would have normally gone straight to the compost.

Certifications

Our cotton is certified according to Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS). It is the most widely recognized international standards covering all aspects of textile processing and environmentally-socially responsible manufacturing.
